That was Then; This is Now

Remember the Sentinel in Queen's Gardens a little over a year ago? Well, what did I see on Sunday the 13th, just two weeks ago?

I couldn't even remember where it was, so I looked back just to make sure I wasn't missing anything, and, no, it's not there any more.

So this is a first in NDP; it's a non-post; it's what you don't see that's the main attraction.

  1. glad I'm not the only one to mourn the absence of The Sentinel. I went to the Gardens about two months ago to photograph the sculpture and - surprise - it was there no longer.
Now, I know it was considered 'contentious art' amongst a lot of Nelsonians however ...
love the concept of a daily Nelson photo guys - keep up the good photography

  2. For a contentious piece, though, DWS-11, it was there for a long time, don't you think? I wonder if they're just doing maintenance, or if it's truly gone.
