Sky over the Nelson Mail building, Wednesday 18 July.
You can see that our newspaper used to be called the Nelson Evening Mail; now it's the Nelson Mail so the word "Evening" has been whited out. The current Nelson Mail office is a newer building immediately to the he right of this one.
A great composition. Lovely sky behind those branches.
ReplyDeleteI do love this angle and the mackerel sky.
ReplyDeleteStrange sky. Looks like its cracked :)Nice composition.
ReplyDeleteGreat composition. I love the blue sky and the building look neat and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove the crackle sky Meg and welcome back to blogdom.
ReplyDeleteThanks, everyone. I was reminded of this paint effect course we took when we first came to New Zealand - it was fascinating stuff, and one of the tricks was to mix diluted paste, I think, and then dry the surface with a hairdryer. It achieved this kind of an effect, which I thought I'd try some day, but haven't. A woman in the class was trying to disguise a delicate wooden bookshelf look like an old metal piece quite successfully.
ReplyDeletewhy was evening removed from the name?
ReplyDeletejust wondering....
