Theme Day: A Public Mail Box

This old style mail box is still used, right across the street from my office. There are still few more of these around, as are even older ones as seen here. Meg posted examples of the newer and newest styles we have here.

Today is Theme Day. Other DP Blogs have also posted "A Public Mail Box" shots. Please click on the numbers below to view them.

  5. Are you sure that's not a fire hydrant? Have you checked if any letters posted there were actually delivered?

  19. This is a very nice picture and the mail box is very nice too!

I've just realised that the differences of the mail boxes makes the daily city photo blogs much more perfect.

  20. Very stately. I like Meg's photos as well ... I sure am glad theme day fell on a weekend this month. During the business work week I would find it hard to get around to this many photos.

  21. I think EVERY country should have a national competition for school children to come up with some nicer mail boxes.

The ones in NYC look like ugly trash cans. Eck!
