Seafood chowder (and burger) at Founders Organic Brewery Cafe, delicious, and the best value for your money in Nelson as far as chowders go. (And Ben knows chowders in Nelson.) But you might consider not finishing all the butter that comes with the delicious bread; the block is about the size of a child's fist!
The brew of the day was Long Black.
I didn't have much of a Sunday lunch so this picture is particularly delicious and appetizing! Yumm! Typical lunch?
ReplyDeleteYes, except it's usually Ben who orders the chowder. This time it was me.
ReplyDeleteLooks yummy and perfect for cold weather.
ReplyDeleteYup. We sat in the sun, but it was breezy but nice. We also had a bunch of ducks around our feet begging.
ReplyDeleteAt least it was real butter and enough of it. I hate the teeny tear top arrangements that only let you have a smear at best.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the truth, Moturoa! Hate those no-friedge milk, too. Yikes.
ReplyDeleteGo Applby School!!
Posts with photos like these are my all time favorites. Right down to the delicious (and to me, unknown) beer. Great shots. Thanks. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's Founders Brewery's own, Frank, and this one is called Long Black.
