  1. eww! It looks dreadfully itchy! But still, gloriously creative use of very mundane things.....

  2. Maid Chic, ha ha. You don't have to run to the store in the middle of cleaning, you see.

  3. Very funny! Have you in NZ this tv programm with two ladies who go to clean up very dirty flats and houses?

  4. Alice, actually, we do. We get the BBC version, but we do. No, wait, there might have been a NZ version, too. They haven't been to our house, yet. I'm not sure if I should ring them up or be relieved.

  5. Beautifully creative window display and good on you for having spotted it. The photo you chose was definitely the right one. I also took a photo of an interesting window that you might want to have a look at.
All the best from Sydney, Australia

  6. Hi, Natalie. Did you ever find out what "In the wild, lickers never survive," means?

  7. What a hoot! I LOVE the colors and the composition in this shot. The scouring pads reminds me that my mother-in-law made a large Christmas tree shape out of copper scouring pads to mount on the harth when my husband was a boy. Ah, the crafty/tacky things we think up. But this is really artful.

  8. From a distance, Kim, (and that's how I noticed in the first place) it looked quite nice so I was very surprised when I got close up, that it wasn't a 'real' dress. This is a proper boutique, so the inside is filled with real clothes. Jane Palm had great fun telling me about it; I'm looking forward to more fun stuff from her in the future.

  9. I love the scouring pad rosettes - this whole frock is a delight, even if it is not wearer-friendly!
