Mapua Wharf, Sunday
The boy in green and a blonde boy had a bet: the boy in green was told if he didn't catch a fish first, he would have to kiss the one the blonde boy caught. Go, Boy in Green!

i admire children learning a hobby like fishing.. Go go boy in green and blonde boy!
ReplyDeleteWhere is the blonde boy ...
ReplyDeleteGo boys!
Kris, I bet the boy in green won; I hope so.
ReplyDeleteTanty, the blonde boy was restless, and I could only hear him shouting to the boy in green, but later I saw him running up and down the wharf, and there was no way I could get the two together, except maybe the bonde boy as a blur.
I bet the boy in green won, because the blonde boy was all talk. There was one older boy in red, (you can see his fishing rod at the right edge of this picture) but he was fishing seriously and wasn't having any of the kissing-the-fish thing.
nice shot!

Thanks, Zannnie.
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to see that. Go Green Boy.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a perfect place to fish the day away.
It was a perfect day, Photowannabe, but there were only these three boys fishing. Grownups were wandering around, drinking coffee, and talking.
ReplyDeleteHeard of Rex Hunt.. he kisses fish all the time on a tv show over her. Not for me though.. I'm vegetarian, I only kiss vegies!
ReplyDeleteWell, veggies and the Mrs, I hope!
ReplyDeleteThe layer of clouds is a good backdrop to the boats. Boys must be about 10?? Wonder what kind of fish they caught.
ReplyDeleteThe funny thing is, Kate, in Japan and in the US, I could guess people's ages spot on, but in NZ, I can never get it right. I'd say the Boy in Green was between 9 and 12? I bet he has no idea people around the world are talking about him!
ReplyDeleteWow, the fisherboy, sailboats, mountains and clouds make for another beautiful photograph. This makes me feel waaay sloppy about photography.
ReplyDeleteAlternatively, you can just buy a glass of wine at one of the restaurants/cafes near here and just sit and watch - another nice weekend activity.
ReplyDeleteNo way thais is me i think used to fish off the wharf all the time infact i was jumping off it to day
ReplyDeleteNo way i belive that is me i used to fish there a alot and i was jumping off it to day 5 years later
