"Food For Thought"

According to the Nelson Public Art & Sculpture Walks brochure, this stainless steal work was created by Nelson sculptor Grant Scott. It was installed at the Collingwood Street Fresh Choice supermarket car park in 2005.

    Maybe because it's right in front of a supermarket... But did you ever do science projects with molds? These babies remind me of them babies.

    "Food for Thought" is the actual title of this sculpture.
    To me, it is still a puzzle.

    When you look at them closeley, do the various pieces represent anything? Food for thought, I don't know, but they sure are great conversation starters! Thanks for the shot, I like the colourful elements at the back too!

    I think good thing about this sculpture is people to think.
    I still can not connect this object to its title.
    It could be some plants growing from seed? Mushroom? May be anything bust still I can not...

    I LOVE these sculptures! I'd like a mess of them in my garden. The ball shooting forth with the expanding tail behind might be a comet, or the momentum of a good idea or philosophy. Good stuff! I'll take five.
