Waiata

On Friday I also walked across the bridge on Bridge Street that took awfully long to reconstruct. On the railing was etched a waiata (song) about the Maitai River in English, brail and Maori. Lovely, but sorry, I didn't write down the song. Slack DP-ing, I know.

Here's Ben chronicling the progress of the bridge here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here, and another decorative element here.

  2. Thank you. My memory of that tree at the end was more varied in color and brilliant, but can't win them all, can we?
