With Blogger allowing us to schedule posts for future dates (like Wordpress always did!!), you might have not known Ben and I were away in the Marlborough Sounds from Wednesday to Sunday. So at the risk of JB net-shouting, "The Sounds is not Nelson!!!", here are some of Ben's best shots from the weekend. (I was writing diligently; it was a writing retreat.)
Depending on the part of the Sounds you go, it's somewhere between 75 minutes and several hours to the east and north east. It's so near, and yet the scenery is so different.
PS. I'm also starting a series at here. - Ben
What gorgeous reflection and the sun's rays just add to the fantastic composition. Great shots.
ReplyDeletegreat scenery, amazing reflection
ReplyDeleteTotally stunning! Ahh... When Iam I going to get there... Such a fantastic light!
ReplyDeleteWow - what a great photo
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely beautiful photo!
ReplyDeleteCheers, everyone!
ReplyDeleteI'm bit occupied to going through all the photos I've taken in this trip. This one absolutely one of my favourite if it's not the best one.
Well, I will post more in my other blog and I'm going to submit a few to the local Art Awards Competition which is due in 23rd this month.
Speaking of this, I haven't managed a time to take a photo for this blog for while. Probably, I'm going to post few more form sounds instead.
Net-shout? Moi?
ReplyDeleteIt's the Top of the South - go for it!
(I've been known to commandeer neighbouring towns, too...)
Hee hee, JB. So where does the TotS end?
ReplyDeleteGreat shot.
ReplyDeleteIncidentally, be careful with that scheduling feature. I've been using it for a couple of months and so far it's not been reliable. Roughly 10% of our scheduled posts never leave the ground. Fortunately, I've been around to correct this. So far...
Thanks, Per.
ReplyDeleteWe have been using "Scheduled Post" since it comes out from "Draft" to "Live", but no issue. It always works as a charm for us (so far).
I will keep eye on it, thanks for advice.
Just like any new software, it's bound to have some initial glitches. It's a great feature of course. We'll continue using it but right now I wouldn't go offline for days without having someone keeping an eye on it. Fortunately we're a team and there's always someone "on duty"... ;)
ReplyDeleteHey, we're a team, too! Oh wait, we go on holidays together...
ReplyDeleteTotS extends from as far east as you want it to, to Mapua in the west...
ReplyDeleteNah, Golden Bay, Farewell Spit, and the West Coast, JB. And Kaikoura to the east. Until someone comes up with a Blenheim DP or Kaikoura DP or some such.
