No, it is not an abandoned; I believe it's still is use, though I am not sure for what purpose.

  1. Love the light and shadow on the corrugated metal roof. I want to get to Durham Cathedral (World Heritage site), so thanks for the Sunday notice. This country is crazy with holidays and when shops close down. On campus, everything seems to close at 2:30!!! In town, you're lucky if something is still open at 5. I'm traveling to London before Christmas and I can't get back on the 25th or 26th because there are no busses or trains running that day! It was the same thing when I lived Copenhagen (on the island of "[Old] Zealand"). I tell you, the Old World is going to the dogs. Hopefully things are better in New Zealand, and hopefully you got some good gifts at Durham.

  4. Very interesting sight. I like the sharp contrast between the rusty surfaces and the blue sky!

  6. Thanks everyone.
I think it's a storage like Faye pointed out. It's at the edge of farm property, close to the road.
Piika, I'm not surprised if they brew some beer in there as well.

  9. Whooops. I'm never sure how you spell Sealand (main Danish island) vs. Zeeland (Dutch province.) But I guess Nova Zeelandia was named after the Dutch one.
