This is not a very good pic, (and a day later I have this bright idea of crossing the street to do this one over,) but this is the now-quite-famous yurt at the very popular The Free House pub and music venue. It's a radical, but not that rare in New Zealand, church-converted-into-a-pub.

Ben and I are not pub-goers and we've not been inside, but from memory it was conceived and still owned by Eelco Boswijk, son of this Eelco. (Correct me if I'm wrong?)

Er, weren't you seen in the Sprig and Fern, imbibing barley juice?
You're correct - Eelco is really Eelco Jr and his mum is Christine Boswijk, the ceramicist

  2. We go to pub when we are meeting bad-influence friends, mate! Ha ha. Weren't we planned to meet at the Suter? Or was that last time?
