Logging Trucks

Forestry is one of the big industries in and around Nelson. Most of the logs are radiata pines. It can get a bit scary driving behind one of these trucks, particularly if you're on a low, flat two-seater midlife crisis car, but not so much this one, because the logs were so skinny.

  1. Scary is right! I've seen logs roll off these trucks. Interesting photo for all that!

  2. Ohhhh, we try not to think about it... Usually the logs are huge and so there are something like 8 or 12 or 15 logs on the truck. OK, I never counted, Jacob. But you know what I mean. Really big ones.
