I'm not sure what's it's called, but...

The former home of Mac beer was looking a bit sad after the brewery moved to Wellington, but in the last few years, they started/resumed making vodka, ciders and now, once again, some craft/boutique beer.  The establishment sits at the side of the road, behind some trees, between Nelson and Stoke (a suburb of Nelson) and Richmond (the main town in the next, Tasman, district), and we must have passed by many, many times, especially before they built the bypass by the sea.

A couple of Saturdays ago, after getting Ben's ribs and bacon at the butcher shop up the road, we went into their cafe for the very first time.  You can bring your own plastic bottles and buy beer or cider, or sit down to have coffee and some yummy food.  While we were there, an older couple was enjoying coffee, and I overheard the gentleman was gently coaxing the cafe staff to add carrot cake on to their menu.  Hear, hear!
