Aviation Heritage Centre- Omaka (Blenheim)
We have been Blenheim, last weekend. Meg was attending weaver's group workshop and after that we finally visited this place - "Aviation Heritage Centre".
If you haven't been there, you should. At least once. There are mostly early WW-I birds but the display is fantastic. It's not just a museum that everyone expects.
The "Weta" did a fantastic job, here. Photographing allowed, and I took few under very dim lighting with no support like (mono or tripod). Not sure if I allowed to post the shots, but I may just a little to hint how great it was, but I need to select some first.

Friday Lunch at Verdict
Half the time Ben has the steak sandwich at Verdict; I always want their fish and chips, (best in Nelson, we think,) but their pasta is great, too, and then their specials are inviting. On Friday it was Butter Chicken, a tad too spicy for me, but tasty.
The big disappointment for Ben was he was trying to sell this lens and was playing with it before lunch as boys do, when he discovered a big crack right down the middle of... something or rather that didn't exist when he photographed the lens. Needless to say, the rest of our lunch was spent discussing lenses and such. Boring~~~!
On Bridge Street, across the street from the courthouse, of course.

Kath Bee Opens Theatre Royal
As part of a month-long grand reopening of Theatre Royal Nelson, lovely Kath Bee held two free concerts for little kids and big ones today. The inside of the theatre looked pretty much the same as it did before, but cleaner and more comfortable. I'm glad they didn't modernize this part drastically. I'll have to ask Kath about stage/lighting/backstage, etc., however.
