I told a wise mother in New South Wales this morning that Ben was on the floor swapping innards of four computers, that it was like having a giant toddler because his ability to converse was impaired (more than usual), that the only difference between a real toddler and Ben was the price of the bits strewn on the floor that I needed to avoid, because they may fetch a couple of buck on eBay. To which Hope replied, I had no idea about the price of toys nowadays. Touché!Ben said I can post this pic only if I cooked breakfast for him. It's 11;58 now.
I find all that Ben is doing absolutely reasonable and understandable. Perhaps you could have fixed breakfast and carried it in to him? I mean, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. I only have two computers now, so don't have as many complications, but still, there are times...

Oh, in our family is it the son who has all the computers (old ones, a new and a laptop from school). My husband and I share one.

I am enjoying Nelson weather and hospitality and trying to be a carpenter, plumber, drainlayer and project manager with the help of a carpenter, plumber and drainlayer. ReplyDeleteThe oldest one should be retired in favour of new machine. So the good parts goes to the my old PC and much of disk drives. This one act as our family file server until I replace with bunch of external drive of multiple TB disks. All the data disks are mirrored with RAID so that the backup data will be written to at least two physical disks.
ReplyDeleteNot familiar with multiple TB disks, have to confer with my IT guru. Now RAID I sort of know about, every computer system should have that. I am at a loss as to what happens with the redundant parts from Michael's makeover. I know I am off to bed now, as my muscle makeover has worn me out today, good luck with the project!
