Apoca-lips
A couple of years ago, Ming sent us a delicious red chili jelly. As I neared the end of the tiny jar, I tried to recreate it, which ended a disaster as jelly, but it had become an indispensable chili sauce at Chez Nakagawa. As we near the end of that concoction, how do I recreate something that was supposed to be something else? I tried to remember what I used in the ingredients, but Ben had a bumper year of chili last year, (the only thing we grew amidst a field of weeds,) so I got a tad too eager.
It turned in to half a dozen jars of concoction with four varieties of chili that may require a pipette to apply. We may have to bequeath some to a couple of unsuspecting Nelson youth.

Light Nelson 2018
Part 1 : Light projection on wall. Shadow is the people in between light and wall. This would have been fun to watch kids prance and do funny things but we were too late for that. But Big Kids made up for that.

Wednesday Morning in our Mountain Cabin
It's not a great pic but this is what I got. We've been having a cold spell I love, and some mornings a little bit of mist. Yesterday morning it was spectacular, we couldn't see anything except our neighbor's roof and hills glistening in the sun way over there, (i.e. much better than this,) it felt as if we woke up in a secluded mountain cabin. I grabbed my tinycam and shot a few, with no time to check white balance and other stuff I usually check. The mist was moving fast and seven shots later we were back to another, regular Nelson morning. It was wonderful while it lasted, though.

Another Japanese Couple in Town
We saw these scary-looking marionettes in an antique store on Hardy Street. There were no description or explanation on them, and we didn't seek any. $55 each; the lady in a better shape than the man.

Snow Cap
Snow cap is on. It was couple of days ago in the morning. We have fire-place going from that evening. Althoth this is not the first time I see in this year.
Winter is here!

Last Days of Summer
Shot on the same day as Ben's two posts, at lunch time Friday Feb 2, which was for many kids the last day of the summer holiday. There were bleachers on both sides and lots standing around, so a great turnout for a small town.

Re-Cycling
Shops in Nelson change/morph so often and so rapidly last few ears I don't know what this place is going to be and don't recall what it was just before, or at one time. It's between the music shop and Molly's, which used to be a fab cafe and then a groovy takeaway, last century. It's on Bridge, near Four Spirits Corner, where there used to be, I understand, a church and three pubs. The corner has had a bed shop, a supermarket, and two pubs as long as I can remember.
