We found fresh red currants at the supermarket, a first for us, so we tried some as dessert last night. They are beautiful, translucent, orange-red gems fit for necklace, but SOUR~~~!!! If we don't eat them all tonight, I might put them in a muffin.

I am no vegetarian, but I do love a good veggie meal. This was the Veg pizza at When in Rome on Hardy St yesterday and our first date in a while.  Sorry I was halfway through before I remembered to take a pic.

For a tree that's just outside the office window, I sure don't pay much attention to it unless new leaves are coming, or the fruits are ripe and the whole thing turns into a noisy bird restaurant. I don't think I've ever been conscious of a fig flower though it appears I am not to blame. But the last few days, while trying to work on my tax returns, I could not help but stare at the red bits found on the two young fruits, slightly above center of this pic. It's bigger and much brighter than seen (or not) here, they almost look like tiny Pohutukawa blooms sitting on a fig tree. OK, back to work.

Music in CBD

Wandering in CBD, thinking what to have for lunch and hear some nice music coming from around the corner.  Well... I just recognise those people. I had to grab my lunch somewhere and need to back in office sooner so I couldn't stay but what nice way to spend lunch time in sunny Nelson.
